Affecto is one of the best places to work in the Nordics

[01.04.2011]

Affecto, the largest Business Intelligence solution provider in the Nordic countries, is a runner up in the national Great Place to Work competitions held in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

In all four countries, Affecto took part in the competition's general category. In Norway, Sweden and Finland Affecto strengthened its position from the previous year. Affecto was now in the 7th place in Norway, in the 7th place in Sweden and in the 12th place in Finland. Affecto Denmark participated in the competition for the first time and was immediately ranked among the best ten IT companies in Denmark.

In Finland and Denmark companies with 50–500 employees belong to the general category, and in Norway and Sweden this category holds companies with 50–250 employees.

“Belonging to top companies in all Nordic countries proves that we do the right things in the Nordic countries as a whole. Motivated experts are committed to delivering the best results for our clients,” says Affecto’s CEO Pekka Eloholma.

Affecto’s HR director Hilkka Remes-Hyvärinen concurs.

”The same positive development can be seen in all countries where Affecto operates: in the Nordic countries the ranking in the competition has improved every year and the scores of the Baltic countries are developing positively. Although our primary goal is to improve our own work community, it is gratifying that we have improved our ranking also in relation to other companies in the competitions in different countries,” explains Remes-Hyvärinen.

Improvements in ranking compared to previous years demonstrate Affecto’s development as a workplace. In a service-providing organization it is crucial  that  experts have possibilities to develop their skills in their work. The work community must be good and management must support the employees.

”Affecto aspires to be a workplace where the employees have a possibility to continuously improve their skills not only through training but also in interesting and challenging projects. In a good workplace, there is trust between employees and the management,” says Remes-Hyvärinen.

The development is also important for clients. Motivated employees in Affecto are devoted to their work and developing their skills. Thus their work produces high-quality results for the clients.

Last but not least, satisfied personnel who enjoy their work also bring continuity to partnerships, as employee turnover remains at low levels.

In total, Affecto has 950 employees.
